Welcome to Bighorn Park - Coaldale, Colorado

Bighorn Park is a family owned and operated resort with an RV park, cabins, motel, and tenting area. We are located in the scenic Bighorn Sheep Canyon, and nestled on the Arkansas River in the sunny Colorado Rocky Mountains.

Namesake Bighorn Sheep are frequently seen on the rugged rock cliffs across the river, while one might be fly fishing.

Bighorn Park is a great place for your family and friends to stay while you visit the Royal Gorge Bridge and the Sand Dunes National Park. While here, you might want to visit a ghost town or an old mine, as well as partaking in a Jeep and/or ATV tour/rentals, horseback riding, hiking, and biking. And there is always a white-water rafting trip waiting for you! Our nearby winter time sports include skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling.

There is something for all seasons; even big game and small game hunting.

If you just want to spend the day at Bighorn Park, you might want to relax by the pool while the others swim in our family swimming pool. You might also want to enjoy a game of volleyball, horseshoes, fishing, or fun by the river.

Shopping in the historic town of Salida, golfing, theatre, movies, restaurants, hot springs, antique shopping, art galleries, and much, much more are within 25 minutes from Bighorn Park.

Make your Bighorn Park stay your 'home away from home'!
